Rascal Flatts

Erin and Mandie

Awhile back (before I had a digital camera) Erin and I met Rascal Flatts. They were getting popular then, but not nearly so much as they are now. We met them in either 2000 or 2001.

The Line Between Cheese and Art

The Line Between Cheese and Art
I have come back from the not-so-dead-just-super-busy. I am mentoring with a photographer...aka, being her assistant and not getting paid. I don't mind not being paid at all. She's teaching me photography stuff for free. So not getting paid, not such a big deal. But we were talking the other day about the difference between cheesy wedding photography and artful wedding photography (there are other groups, but we were talking about those two). So that prompted my title. My mentor is Betsy Butler.

Carkeek Park
I will have to work on this shot somehow because I don't think I conveyed the true expanse of the sky.

Not a picture.

I need advice folks. I've been asked to donate some photography to my parish's annual fundraiser. Any advice as to which pieces should go? I'm gonna say the nudes are out.

In response to the comment left on my last post (thank you for that comment, by the way), I moved out here to be with my boyfriend (awwww). That was a huge change, and I certainly feel the effects of it, but the Northwest offers me comfort through its beauty. I apologize for the lack of posting and lack of comments on your blogs---sharing internet with my boyfriend and his mom (she lives nearby) has been tougher than I thought!

Sunday's Floral

Sunday's Floral
Seattle, WA

I don't usually have enough of a theme to do "a week of..." but Seattle offers me so much opportunity for picturing flowers that I now have plenty of florals for a theme week. Welcome to Floral Week.
